AI as a designer

One of the most basic tasks in designing is to rule out options. That requires the personal taste and cultural sense of the designer.

Stakeholders may want to proceed with purely economical vision against ecological matters or with morally faulty causes. Stopping a project before it is finished may not be a pleasant task. It may require strong will and thick skin. But that is the designer's job.

If AI is used as the primary designer, it seems unlikely that AI will ever attempt to stop unwanted, immoral or unhuman designs. Whose responsibility it is to kill a project if the designer is AI? How killing a project against AI is even possible, is yet to be seen.
